Did you know you could watch a Broadway style show without having to travel to New York City? Or do you prefer a comfy 3d show in an air conditioned theatre? Or would you like the pants scared off of your loved one? You can get all these and more with these often times overlooked Disney shows.
There are so many great shows throughout Disneyland and California’s adventure but to me these four are the most unique and fun to see that I have to share them.
This 45 minute show takes you through the whole tale of Aladdin while providing a grade A Broadway style musical, complete with songs, dancing, giant elephants and flying carpets. Located in California adventure this show plays a couple times per day in a huge theater. Sit up top for a close up of the flying carpet or on the floor for a close up of the elephants coming down the aisles. Be sure to eat before you go in because food and drink are not permitted.
Muppet Vision 3D
See Kermit and the gang in “muppetvision 3D” in a comfy air conditioned old time themed theatre next to the Monsters Inc ride in California adventure. The show is about 12 minutes long (and plays all day) so even little ones should be able to make it through.
Be sure to watch out for the Penguins and bombs and make sure to turn around to get a glimpse of chef before he blows the place up. Again eat before you enter because no food or drink are permitted.
It’s Tough To Be A Bug
This one is my favorite, but if you have a fear of bugs be sure to skip it. I don’t want to give too much away but this is, in my opinion, Disneyland best 4d experience show. Located in a bugs land in California adventure this fast paced 9 minute show plays all day and leaves a lasting impression on anyone who has actually seen it. It’s often overlooked because of its lackluster entrance, but once you head underground and get your “bug eyes” you’ll begin to realize that this show is special.
I’ve taken both the kids to it hen they were young and nether were afraid but I’ve seen many young ones have to leave early from fright. So be sure to sit on the right side of the theatre to make a quick exit if you need to and eat before you go. No food allowed inside here either.
Enchanted Tiki Birds
The oldest running show in Disneyland is much next favorite. Not only can you take your delicious dole whip that they sell right outside the door inside with you, it you can take any other food as well. It’s a great way to get out of the sun and get a snack in at the same time.
However the show itself is worth seeing even if you couldn’t take food in. The multitutde of animatronic birds, flowers and tikis strewn throughout sing fun and catchy tunes for the duration. Sit in back for the most comfy seating.
